I disagree with the statement that satellite installs are in its infancy. Primestar was the first of the (small home dish) system that came out in 1991 it was a joint venture between Continental Cable Vision and several other mso's in an effort to beat Direct TV to the market place that launched in 1994 and Dish Network that launched in 1996. In the summer if 1991 Plant manager John Bailey, Lead tech Steve Hewitt, Stan the Man Jago and My Self installed the first Primestar dish in Ohio, it was a roof mount unit installed on the Continental Cable office in Athens Ohio. Full scale installs started a month later. So Dish system installs have been going on for 19 years. I hope there is some improvement soon…
The main issue I see is the quality of the installer that you are able to provide for the minimal pay that is now being offered for a system install and associated drive time.
